Cheaper Home Batteries Program

Hey Darwin and NT homeowners & small businesses, get ready to double-dip on savings!  While we’re still waiting on the final T&Cs, it looks like you’ll be able to stack both the federal and territory battery rebates for massive discounts.

From 1 July 2025, the Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program (a $2.3 billion scheme) will knock 30 % off your up-front cost when you install an eligible solar battery—up to $372 /kWh of usable capacity (≈ $330 net/kWh after fees) for systems commissioned on or after July 1.

Plus, the NT Home & Business Battery Scheme tops that up with $440 /kWh of usable capacity (capped at a $ 13,200 voucher). That means thousands more back in your pocket when you upgrade to solar + storage!
