Powering Karnamarr Campground at Jim Jim Falls

Eco Tech Electrical has proudly delivered a complete off-grid solar system for Karamar Campground at Jim Jim Falls in Kakadu National Park. This installation provides reliable, renewable power for all of the campground’s needs, including water stations, bathroom facilities, and irrigation.

Meeting the Challenges of Remote Work

Installing solar in Kakadu isn’t easy. Access is only possible during a short window each year, after the wet season ends and before the tourist season begins. This project required careful planning, as floods delayed road access and our team had only a narrow timeframe to complete the job. Thanks to our multiple specialist teams and experienced installers, we delivered the system on time and fully operational.

Reliable Technology for Harsh NT Conditions

For this project we installed:

60 kW of Canadian Solar panels

140 kwh of Powerplus battery storage

Selectronic and Fronius Inverters

SolarTerrace 2 ground-mount system
